I think the STs are the best bang for the buck. The vortices look like they take 15 minutes to put on and strap up lol. Also, I looked at the Dainese torque pro in. Not as much protection but they have a slimmer profile!
The Dainese "In" boots are designed to work with the Dainese suits. Notice the velcro.

I'd imagine the "out" boots will flow air better since your leather or jeans won't be covering them up...

Yeah you're right. I kind of liked the in look because they could go under a pair of jeans. But I'm sold on the Sidis anyway lol

Well, as long as you're not a skinny jean wearing queer (Ivan aka Newrider) you should be able to get most riding pants/jeans over most "out" boots. I used to do that but stopped because the air flows better with jeans tucked in. Plus, with jeans/pants over the boots, you run risk of catching your pant leg on the footpeg and heelguard. I've done it a few times...

I've never thought about that, I'll try it and see. But yeah I have some boot cut jeans that I think would fit over them

Boot cuts should fit over no prob. If you think about it, the "out" racing boots are designed for leathers to be tucked into them. By tucking in your jeans/pants, it will help a bit to fill some of that gap where the leathers would be. The boots will fit better and tighter.

Makes sense actually, I'll definitely try it once I get my Sidis. Do you I think I should get the airs or the regular model?

Considering the climate we live in, I'm going to be getting the air boots. I've never owned a nice pair of perforated boots but I imagine they breathe quite well.

Not sure how they will do during some of the cold months. Wool socks?
If it's too cold, I guess I could always buy a pair of cheaper boots that are not perforated, I will just be sacrificing that ankle protection compared to the high end air boots I'll be getting

The STs have an air vent that you can open and close. So I may get the regulars and then open the vents in the summer but the perforation would be nice in the summer. It's a hard decision considering the boots are $400 haha

I thought about the whites, but honestly, I think they'll look like after a while from all the scuffs, bugs, dirt, etc....

Those white/blacks you posted though would probably be okay.

I think if you get a chance to try on both back to back, or one on each foot, the decision will be made, and you may think that extra $100 may be worth it

Take the bike there and you can justify the long haul

They have a lot of good stuff in stock.
It's hard to go there and not want to buy a bunch of moto stuff

I'm not sure if these have the same ankle protection as the new ones but....
