Considering the damage, I'd say there's a good chance it would be a total loss. They determine a total loss based on the value of the bike, and estimate for the repairs. I dont remember the magic number. 70%? It's been since 2008 that I've been through that ordeal so I apologize if any of that info is off

Take it to the nearest MH sponsor that handles insurance claims.

first thing is first... THEY HAVE INSURANCE.

go to the ER, get checked out, and a Chiro. Once the insurance company see Medical reports, they tend to pay out a claim faster to avoid a bigger claim. Basically, they buy your claim out. But do so after your bike is taken care off. Don't go after more than you feel you deserve. might come back on your . glad to know ur fine.

Ture that , I have never met Patrick , but by his posts here & other posters that speak highly of him & his shop , I don't consider him that type of guy at all.

With all that damage it will probably be a total loss. It doesn't take much. I had less damage than that a couple of years ago and they wanted to total mine. Anything that has even a scratch on it is deemed something that needs to be replaced.

Is the bike registered to you?

Dont milk it man, Karma is a B***. Trust me, coming from personal experience. I did that to a guy to get my ALREADY bad back checked out. Turn around same ish happened to me a couple months later. The guy milked my insurance company causing my prem to go up.

Take it to Patrick, He would take care of you.

INS totals almost everything these days. They will cut a check to whoever is on the title, and value is based on market price so find as many bikes like yours and be ready to make your case for your $.

Kinda depends on what kind of check they're gonna write me but my dream bike is a 2006 gixxer 750

I'd be happy with a 2006 CBR600rr, f4i, gixxer 600 or a 636

Deffinatly want something I could potentially take to the track

Glad you're okay, hope you can work it out with the guy's insurance company.

Rodrigo and I were hit (while in a truck by her car) by a woman who ran TWO red lights. She denied it, there were witnesses. We took their info like the insurance card said and they left. Rookie cop FINALLY shows up but doesn't issue tickets even though our witness came back. Months later as we are taking action, she disappears. His insurance company wouldn't even give him the last address they had on her! In the end, lost about $3000 on the truck (she hit it at the front left rim at about 45mph which obviously wrecked everything in that area. Really glad she hit that and not Rodrigo's door...story could be a lot different.) Insurance companies suck. You pay all of that many all of the years and you finally need their help and they don't.
