zpooch, hats off to you for being able to tour like that. Kinda of a minimalist approach. I get too spoiled with all the hardbags on the C14.

That trip in the pick was about 5k miles. Camping most of the time along the way with 3 of my good buddies, all of us on different types of euro bikes, KTM Duc BMW Triumph. We had no destinations and our only limitation was a set date when we had to be back to work. Best 2.5 weeks of my life haha

I love my '09 Speedy, best bike I've ever ridden/owned. I've never had a bike get as much attention, just a really different bike. You'll learn pretty quick that this is "shifting optional" sort of bike as the power band is even all the way through. Get a low mount and nothing sounds quite like it. As far as the new S3 goes, I just can't go for that price, the best thing about the older model is it was an affordable "exotic" that outperforms most of the others. And those new headlights are hideous. Anyway, I ride my speedy every day, 18k plus now still going strong. I don't think I could ever sell it, there's just nothing else like it. Hope you enjoy yours, and don't forget to join TriumphRat for lots of great info and help.
