Look Both Ways

Hey guys, just witnessed a 3 car accident due to a red light runner. Looked bad but only one passenger wasn't moving. Plastic and fluids all over the road and bent axles.

Glad to see people stopping, calling police, and rendering aid.

Just a friendly reminder to ALWAYS look both ways when crossing intersections.

A rider I know from another forum I'm on just passed away earlier today from severe head injuries caused by a red light runner. The driver was lady who was uninsured flew past a red light/stop sign across 4 lanes of traffic and hit the rider on his bike. Rider was fully geared......hoping the lady gets charged with vehicular manslaughter right now....

those things only take pictures of the plates, i would be VERY suprised if they even worked well enough to take accurate enough video to use as evidence.

1. You're wrong
2. I was being a smartass. Maybe a redlight camera would have prevented the idiot from running the red light

lol.

After careful consideration--I was For the red light cameras.
I was thinking..Houston already signed a Contract with that company. We would Have to pay them millions regardless if we kept the contract or Broke the contract. Might as well make offenders pay rather than give it to them free w/ tax money.
Also, Houston needed revenue. How can Houston make some money...hhmmm....taxes, laws, fees, parking rates, higher this and that?

Red Light Cameras.......sure. Why not make criminals pay? Especially when it could potentially deter accidents, save lives, force drivers to be more mindful, courteous, and Responsible for their actions.

Oh . I just thread jacked. Im sorry. You can have it back.

RED LIGHT CAMERAS!

I think the operative word is IDIOT. No preventative measure is going stop an IDIOT from being an IDIOT. Meanwhile the red light cameras over everyone with no measurable result....other than an increase in ticket revenue.

Yeah my wife was hit last year when a red light runner t-boned a car and slammed that car into my wife's door. Turned out the runner had had a stroke and was unconsious before the impact.
Personally, I think red light cameras are not safety-based devices unless the intersection is boldly indicated as being protected by cameras. The Hwy3/FM518 intersection has cameras in all four directions and 18"x18" signs about 100yds back from the crossing to alert you of what is coming up. The sign is off to the side of the road, has small type and is very easy to miss. They should hang a sign from the traffic lights themselves so approaching drivers know that THIS INTERSECTION IS BEING MONITORED. Otherwise it is nothing more than a surprise revenue generator. , I bet just hanging the signs and putting dummy cameras on poles would be enough to reduce red-light violators and would cost a of a lot less to install. Sure it makes the roads safer, but there is no money to be made in that.

When is the last time a disease has been cured?
There is no curing anymore, now just preventative measures and drugs to live with the disease.

Were gonna milk you for what you've got.
