No, it's just a road with about thirteen turns in a short stretch, not my favorite bit not bad either...

I don't know how it got the name RR though...

I have yet to break the code on RR--"River Road"--where is it on a map? What is the highway number?

I read the above and shake my head on group rides. The risk multiplication of large groups, speed, and ego is an issue.

In the 80s, there was almost nothing out there, and it was basically a short racetrack that we abused the heck out of and came to call it Racer Road.....

The local sheriff would always stop by the park to shoot the breeze with us, and there were nowhere near the farm/ranch houses that there are now out there....
Back there there was a cool park under the big bridge with benches, etc you could could chill after a nice ride, but the state let it go years ago...

Depends on the bike tires suspension and brakes.

If you're near the limits of the bike, it is no longer moderate.

Whatever speed you are not going to crash! That would be moderate to me! I don't think anybody on here has sponsors that will pay for your bike and medical bills when you crash! We have slow guys on our rides and we have fast guys! As long as there is a sweeper to make sure everyone gets to the same spot unscaved. never try to keep up with guys that are better and faster than you! The Vmax guy quoted Scotty! I am going to quote a real bad ! "Who's the more foolish, the fool, or the fool that follows him" in Obi Wan Kenobi voice!

The limits/abilities of the rider are a bigger impedance than physical limitations of the hardware, and oft as not its not the limit...but the capabilities of the hardware that contribute.

Nope, that is a spirited pace. Which is a lipstick for a "we're going to go as fast as we can" ride.

Defining YOUR pace is different than trying to define the pace for a diverse group ride. When you have a group ride without noobs, you still will have riders with 1-2 years of experience maybe riding with guys that have 10+ years and possibly instruct with one of the TD orgs. People are responsible for their actions, but as a ride leader, you have a responsibly to keep the group together and organized....not just a meetup spot, then a free for all.
I do however completely agree with never ever riding over what you deem comfortable!
