BT-003

I see everyone raving about the new S20 tires. how are they compared to a Q2? has anyone every run the BT_003. i know they won't last long but, wonder just how long they might last? i put less than 2 k year on my bike. 90% of my riding is on the curves. not doing any commuting.

I run the bto16 and absolutely love them. Got over 6k and 1 track day our of my last set before i had to replace the rear. You can get them at 2 wheel toys installed for 255 a set.

Dude, run over to WWH and get in on that S20 deal. I'm going there this afternoon after work to pick up a set. I've heard good things about the S20's and they should be good for my street pace. , I street rode the chit out of my stock BT-016's with no major issues. Obviously, the S20's should give me a lot better feel and grip. Can't wait to get them on....

LOL my BT016's only made it 4500 mi. The 645 mi Hill Country ride KILLED the rear. Front is still okay....

Ran the s20 on the track this weekend and they didn't disappoint. Can't speak to the longevity, I can speak to the grip and it was solid. I'm sure they will run as many miles as my Q2s did. the Nice price is the real sell.

Dont mix up the BT003R(warmers required) with the BT003RS which are totally different tires....The BT003RS is compared to the Q2. The S20 is the successor to the BT016 which is a great street tire/ novice-slow intermediate track pace tire.

Beat me to it. Ride Smart should be okay without warmers.

I picked up the tires by themselves...but I do believe they said $99 installation. I would assume that is with wheels ON the bike. Call and ask someone in their service dept. to be sure. I'll be taking the wheels off myself and having them mounted and balanced @ HoPD most likely... I probably would've bought them from Tony but WWH's introductory tire sales are unbeatable at the moment.

$99 is for installation on the bike. I have not been able to get my service manager to discount labor for Motohouston members. I do have a couple of cheaper options from non-franchise independents. PM me for the details, one of the guys has his own tire machine and balancer in his garage and is a motohouston member.

this

I am running BT003RS without warmers and did 2 track days on them. So far so good, very sticky!

As to where to get some tires I highly recommend Tony's at House of Paint (sponsor on here) He has some of the best prices in town!

How does the "feel" compare between the S20 and the Q2?

I tried a set of BT016 and while the grip was fine, the feel was numb or wooden.
Turn in on the BT016 was a tad quicker than the Q2 at the same pressures

I REALLY like the Q2 and it will take something much better to make me change.

Yeah I have done 5 TDs on my BT003RS without warmers and granted I went down the last TD but it wasn't from lack of sticky tires. I am pretty sure adding throttle and lean angle simultaneously is enough to lowside... add in being crossed up on body position and it was bound to happen. I ride an SV so it doesn't chew the tires up quite as quickly at the track...

I am actually going to try the Q2s next so I will have better feedback as soon as I get them installed, but the BT003RS have been phenomenal and I would recommend them for most riders.

The s20's are a mix of the grip more of the 003 and the longevity of the 016 plus a little.

They feel awesome from every person we've put them on, including bobby which rides everyday. He said with the s20 it's planted vs the 016.

And we Cary them in stock
