Sunday EARLY Morning Ride to Navasota 08/12/2012 (Moderate)

When: Sunday 08/12/2012
Where: Starbucks (Fry Rd & Park Row)
Time: 7:30am KSU 8:00am

19914 Park Row Katy, TX 77449

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww........READY!

I'm ready to strech my little Duc's legs some more this Sunday. Come on out and ride some twisties to Navasota.

This will be a moderate paced ride, I will NOT be hitting triple digits (cuz I can't) but at times, I won't be doing the speed limit either. The Ride is for people comfortable with riding a faster pace and doing at least DPSL through turns. After turns we will slow back to a pace that doesn't get us too much negative attention. Just something nice and fun, while being as safe as possible.

Safety:

Ride staggered formation while we are on straight aways, maintain safe distance. Single formation while in the twisties and leave plenty of room for error on the rider in front of you! Do not cause an "accordion effect", that means: Maintain constant speed and if you are too slow in the turns and someone behind you is faster, allow them to pass you in the straight. No need to park it in the turns just to haul down the straight. Do not be a jackass! Means: No Wheelies, or other stupid like that.

Gear: At minimum wear your: Helmet, Gloves, Jacket and boots (kneepads are a good idea).

The Ride: We will ride up to Navasota via RR to 362 then up to Navasota. If we have time for lunch, we can eat at The Filling Station (Bevo's girlfriend works there) or we can eat at Waller county BBQ. Don't matter to me.

If you have ever been on this ride, you know what to expect, if you have been on a ride with me, you know what to expect.

Let's have some fun on these babies! hr2926634 8

Oh, we're making time for lunch and if you have to go home early, I'll take the "kids" to 3090 and Yankees.

Going on a ride to Fayetteville with some others. We will probably be on RR at the same time as y'all (looking at your KSU) stay safe and have fun.

I'm interested if you don't mind if I start out with you guys, and if I can't hang I'll drop off and go at my own pace.

I'll program my GPS with the route (PM me please), and if I fall off the pace I'll just get there when I get there.

No one has to wait for me, or hang back.

No hard feelings whatever you decide.

I'm in. I like the description of the pace. While I love the twisties and the track, I'm not a fan blowing by people's serene homes at triple digit speeds early on a Sunday morning. Also, the earlier the better, as long as the sun is up - a side benefit of getting old.
