Best Oil

I'm getting ready to do my first oil change on my 09 R6. What do you guys suggust as far as oil. I took it to Kays in humble last time and they raped me basically, 80 bucks for an oil change is crazy. I've heard synthetic is bad for the clutch, any truth to this?? Also which oil filter is best?? I'm probably putting to much thought into this lol. Just curious what you guys run in your bike.

thanks, D

Keep it simple...don't think too much into it...I use full synthetic AMSOIL...Because, i have had good experience with it...get more miles out of the engine with less wear-tear on moving components....I have seen people use regular / cheap oil and their bikes run just as good...as long as u change regular oil every 3k miles...u should be ok...OEM oilfilter is good...hi-flo is cheap and good...as long as it filters...its good...
no dont use coffee filter..

I have always run a premium full synthetic in all my bike. I'm running ROYAL PURPLE 20W50 full synthetic in both of my R1's. I wouldn't put full synthetic in until after the break-in period. Rings seem to not seet as fast or as well with synthetic. Just my two cents.

I like Golden State from the corner store changed every 15,000 miles or once a year (whatever comes first). I typically run whatever filter fits from my local vato zone. Been doing it this way for one hundred years and never had any problems.

just put Castrol R4 10w50 in last week

$80 is not unrealistic, full syn oils run $10+/qt x 4 + filter, so there's $50
