*Feeler* Sunday Ride to Austin & take a swim in Hamilton Pool 8/12/2012

Trying to see if anyone would be interested in taking an early morning ride through Fayetteville through other twisty roads up to Austin, ride bee cave and then Hamilton pool road and take a swim in Hamilton pool road.

We can bring backpacks for food and drinks and just wear your bathing suit under your clothes.

We can spend most of the day there chilling, if you've never been,it's pretty badass. We can come back the same day or if people wanna stay and play,we can...

Will see if there is interest for this Sunday, I would like to do this though.

Anyone else?

I'm out, but have a good time. I drove up to hamilton pools last Saturday and had a great time.

One thing you might want to consider if you get a group together is to have one person bring a van or SUV and when you get there, all pile in for the line. I waited 1.5hrs in line to get in. It was fine in an air conditioned car with the sound system blaring, but sitting in leathers with no shade on bikes sounds like a good way to get heat stroke. I was lucky as well, the told me it would be 2+hrs but the line moved quick.

I freakin love Hamilton Pool!!

But guy above is right.... they only let so many people in at a time. By the time you get there, there will probably be a few hour wait.... unless you got there when it opened.

Great idea Ivanna.... just don't know if it would work out. :/

I was there 3 weeks ago and due to the lack of enough water there was too much bacteria, so they were not allowing people to swim.

The people talking about long lines, I have not had that experience all the times I've gone, plus I would just move all the way up to the front and just explain to people that bikes and people over heat if not moving. No big deal.

it, guess it so.t happening this weekend. Oh well, I'll just set up a regular old Sunday ride.

Stay tunned for the next attempt.

That place gets filled up very quick. I went on Monday, and the beach (at the pool) was stacked with people around 1030.

Can't do it this Sunday, but I'd go the next round.

What's the route from Fayetteville? I would love to go on an adventure ride like this, so long as there's a good route.
