Hi and Velcome. Hope to see you around.
I suggest buying used even though the new 250s look g00d and put the old 250 body style to shame.
Youll def grow out of it quick unless youre like Cuong-Nutz.
Plus, youre very likely to drop your first bike..its going to hurt when you damage your brand spankin new baby.

Oh heyy! Congrats! Just re read the entire thing. Forget what I said, think positive. How exciting!!

Thanks everyone! I need to register for a Safety course... I'm thinking maybe SanJac Central because they have an opening not this weekend but next weekend which I'm hoping I can register for... speaking of which, I'm going to call them right now!

I'll also post some pictures tonight after I take the bike home, I'm a photographer, so y'all should be in for a treat!

MSF is a must, (dont use ur new bike when earning your safety certificate though, use theirs) and I rode a 250 for a year before selling it for exactly the same amount (almost $200 more) that I paid for it. (2003 Lime green before the new body style came out).

You'll know better next time, and I find that all dealer's are pretty much the same so I try to stay away from ALL of em, and do my transactions thru private parties.
But in this hobby you'll find out what suits you best as you grow with it, and by no means was buying your new ride from the dealer a bad-move (having fresh rubber and brand new brakes under your is always a good idea)

Just curious, did you get the 2012 or 2013 body style? They've yet again changed the body style (for the better) and the new"er" ninja's look abs. amazing. (And might've played a factor in your OTD price had you known you could've used it as leverage in the negotiations)

I got the 2012, they haven't announced the 2013 for the US yet, who knows when we'll have them. I agree they look badass, but the 2012 are also super sexy!
Picked up the bike today, put 26 miles on it already!
