Trailered. It's the best way IMO. We rode 645 miles that weekend too.

If you want you can give me a call tomorrow afternoon when I'm off work and I can answer any questions you have. I've done the sisters 5 times now and it just keeps getting better and better...

If someone plans a weekend trip, I am always down to go. I would gladly be the ride leader as well.

Its a nice update though for mileage/year. However if you know actual miles, thats pretty obssesive (career).

Hours can be taken into effect if you ride a Vino. (sam i am)

had a '97 Bandit 1200, well over 60k on it, perhaps closer to 70k by the time i sold it, and the engine is still running in a katana to my knowledge. currently have an '87 Yamaha Venture XVZ1300 w/ about 81k miles on it, planning to keep it until at least 100k. just got back from a 4700 mile trip with it.

Had a '93 Sportster 883 for six years that crested 45k before it got taken out by a truck.
Couple Ducs I put 22k and 28k respectively.
Working on my vintage stuff now, my Aermacchi has 12k (which is high for them) although I got it in pieces and none of those miles are mine.

BTW I know a LOT of people that swear by Rotella.

Custom 2003 SV650

2003 SV650 bought it in Nov '08 with 13k miles, now has over 60k. I just put 2000+ on it in less than two weeks. I rode up to Sturgis and rode some of the great roads up there - Iron Mountain Road (look it up) AWESOME! The only problem I had with the ride was the chain; had to change it up there. I did it myself, with a supervisor.

IndyRC's RC51 has over 100k miles on it.

Brian1570, how do you find the rotella works on your Buell? I havent exactly read too extensively on the harley's engine/transmission oil specifics, however i do know that the tanks are separate. I find that rotella works so efficiently for my bike because of the fact that the transmission & engine both share the oil. Do you put rotella in your engine AND transmission oil?

Christ, to Sturgis on the Sv, whether its naked or not that has got to be on the derrier. Im sure your seat is aftermarket, but this is alot like my dads story of riding a 94 sportster (with 600mi in 2006) from Los Angeles back to Houston... (he had to stop and get the 1,500mi service done in arizona)
