High Mileage Anyone?

Was just reading a ZX14 forum and one guy justed turned 100K on his '06 (normal scheduled maintenence and 100% Rotella oil....just kidding on the Rotella).
That is a pretty impressive number but also demonstrates how really well these new bike motors are built.

How many miles do you have?

I don't understand the Rotella joke. What's so funny about that brand of oil?

It's not motorcycle specific and it's cheap

While 100k miles on a ZX-14 is impressive, I believe that it's possible to accomplish this using Rotella oil.

I've seen many Honda ST 1100/1300's and VFR's with well over 100k miles with regular Rotella oil changes. Maybe Honda's are just that reliable. Who knows?

My old ZX6R had 54K miles on it, and still took a beating at the track.

Look up the mileage threads on Goldwing forums. 50K is just broken in there...

None of my bikes have been in my stable long enough to make meaningful statistics. Have my ape now for just shy of a year and took a ride up to Coffee and Cars over the weekend to break 1000 miles since I owned it.

Does the odometer have 6 numbers or 5? I'd do like 10k more and sell it saying it was ridden only 10k.

I've had my 2011 ZX-10R ABS for right at 2 months...Bought with around 1800mi, just turned 4500 yesterday. I commuted on it twice before I realized it deserved much better. I've just been riding the chit out of it on the backroads during the weekend and it successfully completed its first 3 Sisters Trip a few weekends ago...
