what are you looking to do. Performance wise, a gear change is going to be the biggest bang for your buck, maybe a power commander. Brakes: Brembo MC braided lines, and a good set of pads.

Shim the rear shock for better handling. Like was said, do a gear change. Won't hurt to put a damper on it as well

well its carb so i'll prob get k&n air and stage 2 jet kit. i like the stock exhaust cans but not enough air flow out of em, so i'm wondering about shorty drag pipes. also i think it already has a smaller sprocket but not sure bc i bought it used.
braided brake lines are in mind, but wondering if the stock calipers are good enough. i wanna keep this 'sport touring' bike, but i really ride it like its a true sport bike, very aggresively..

I have a 99 currently and have done a few things to it. A few years back I put on 2 brothers, a k&N, and a jet kit. CCH (Chad) was my mechanic and as he will attest, it was a to get the bike tuned to run right. He and I tried on and off for over a year (after two dealers couldnt figure it out) and he finally got it right with the help of an exhaust gas analyzer. An internet search will bring up several issues with this.

I also replaced the seat with a sargent and a brake mod. The brake mod kicks in terms of rapid stopping over the stock set up. Here is a link to some brake mode info: http://www.haymouth.co.uk/phpBB3/vie...hp?f=9&t=15494

I know I have a CBR600 f4i brake resivoir but I dont remember if I have 929 or rc51 calipers.

I have owned a 2000 model for several years. There is a very small aftermarket for this bike. The bike is very stout and torquey in stock form. Don't dump a lot of money into the bike because the resale value is low and the bike is plenty potent as it is.

You can cut out the last chamber in the stock exhaust and pick up a few HP without jetting. Makes it sound like a nascar.

I loved my '02 Superhawk. The jet kit didn't do anything but drop my mpg which is critical on this bike. The best mods were suspension and brakes but they were $$. Bought a Penske shock from Lindemann, had Metric do a full RaceTech upgrade to the forks with .95kg springs (stock .585), EBC HH pads and SS lines. It was a track-day KILLER after that. Wish I still had it...
