There a plenty of kids that start riding at 6

Actually im not at you.... I am calling you a dumbass for riding like a idiot and coming on here bragging about it.

You bragging about a curfew made me but, bragging about having to haul like a to get home was really stupid.

Didn't realize that dude was 17. He's invincible - the potential reality of actually crashing at 160 mph, and the terrible consequences that go along with something like that are as yet unfathomable to him - he just can't imagine it happening to him, only "the other guy."

Doesn't realize that he'll wind up playing the role of that "other guy" and will wake up dead.

Parents are wholly irresponsible letting him have a supersport bike to ride around on the street at that age, IMO.

I had to be 21 and buy it with my own cash before I could get one, and they probably would have stopped me if they could have - and my dad rides.

My brother was 18 when he got a '96 FZR 600; but he was likely already more mature then than I am still, 11 years later.

Exactly, because a minor can void a contract before 18, so only an idiot would enter into a contract with one

One thing about the teen riders that go down, it's usually results in a totaled bike even if the body survives... and the adults who bought the bike don't seem to consider that the ride still has to be paid for even after it becomes scrap.

My mother passed a couple of weeks ago. While I was in the ICU there was a 19 yr. old that was going too fast and had a really bad wreck. He broke mutiple ribs and other bones. And to top it of he "severed" his spine. They wanted to do surgery as soon as possible but couldn't get him stabilized enough for it. When I last saw him this was the state he was in.

I'm sure he never thought in a million years that something so horrible could have happened to him that night. Now he has to pay for those consequences for the rest of his life. He will be paralysed and confined to a wheelchair and will need the care of others in his life.

A bit of an eye opener even for me. Nobody wants to think of these things, but you should. All it takes is some animal crossing in front of you. Or something mechanical going wrong. I lost a front wheel bearing a couple of months ago. I sure would have hated to see what would have happened at 150mph with that. And that bearing only had 37,000 miles on it. You never know. That kind of riding really should be for the track.

Ride your own ride.

Period.

There is no one perfect and right way to ride.

MSF is only one way. Ride staggered? Fuey.
