Incidentally, I've seen people post videos on here of their top speed runs "in Mexico" and getting props for it.

Ironic how "160 is way too fast" gets sprayed all over as soon as it's in a thread about safety. lol

I see one hypocrisy overlaying another.. But tu quoque, I suppose.

Lol it's not like this is a daily thing... Or weekly for that matter. But , why waste money on something that you won't use to its full potential? If your not gonna open your bike up every once in a while, buy a Harley.

Fast enough to make me get cross eyed tunnel vision

I'm no hypocrite though, I haul azz in certain surroundings, just don't talk much about it.

I don't think I ever posted this video here, but fk it. Took this a few years ago riding solo on a weekday afternoon ride. Good times!

Pay no mind to the video quality of the original go pro....

Boots are a great choice no matter the speed.

If not boots, do not ride without durable shoes that cover your ankles, unless of course you don't mind damaged limbs for life.

Heh, I'll stick to small displacement for a while.
I couldn't trust myself with something fast.

I finally learned how to wheelie my bike, won't do it above 35mph, I think.

Good vid and good music. Didn't realize original go pro was that grainy though.

I think it lost some quality from the YouTube upload. It doesn't look bad when you view it straight off your SD card, but you need to watch in in a small window, no full screen. Anyways, these days, 1080 is the way to go....

I'll be making some more, just have to figure out what mounting location works best. The one I tried today was WAYYYYY shaky....

Y'all haven't been here long enough to really see what kind of comments people can/will make.

Plenty of people get ragged on for posting or bragging that they have gone as fast.

Hopefully the lesson has been learned.

I really don't think the whole point of the thread was to keep our ankles safe from diving suicidal birds.

Brookshire to Katy is only about 10 miles. You should have been doing the speed limit, @160 you could have gone from brookshire to pasadena, you sure that bird did not hit you on the head?

Speed isn't impressive. Acceleration is. So is handling and braking. There is nothing impressive or fun about cruising with a maxed out the throttle in a straight line.

If you had some kind of vehicle that could go 180 mph, but took 30 minutes to get to there, what fun would that be. It wouldn't be sporting by any definition of the word.
