moto wreck on 249 about 1pm

Anyone on here know the guy on the Honda 1k RR that ran into the the back of the F350 on 249 this evening? The bike looked pretty bad but the rider was awake setting against the wall. did not stop to ask questions due to police already there.

It was a silver or gray 1000RR it happened right before you get to the overpass in front of Tomball Ford on the South bound side of 249. The truck he hit was being driven by a tech. that worked at Tomball Ford. He said the bike and a Mustang was gaining on him pretty fast and the next thing he new he was hit by the bike. put a pretty nice dent in the tailgate and scratched the Ranchhand bumber on the the truck. The bike was a mess and the guy was pretty too. He was wearing a helmet but it was not near his body after the wreck.

Hey y'all!

Been meaning to join this board for a while anyway, and I wanted to update y'all about the guy that wrecked. He's the son of one of the people I work with; his dad left work in a hurry and shortly after that we got an email about the wreck. I checked here that day because I knew y'all keep up with things going on in Houston, and the first post was like an hour and a half after it happened.

Anyway, the guy's really beat up as you would expect, but he's going to make it. At least he's alive. Lots of things broken, rash down to the bone on one elbow, bruises, cuts, etc. I don't know if he's on this or other boards, but his name is Jason and lives near where the wreck happened. The bike is wasted and he didn't have collision insurance, so it's a parts bike now. Someone in his family is supposed to be taking all the salvageable parts, but if anything comes available I'll let ya know.

What kind of gear was he wearing? I would assume he was and I was wondering why it didn't hold up. Or was he not wearing any?

Probably not wearing any.

Reason I asked what color the bike is cause I've seen a yellow one out by my house with younger guy (18-19) riding out by my house with a helmet and jeans, no jacket etc and riding like a madman. :laughing6

No gear other than the helmet. His dad said he has two jackets, but they were still in the closet. :eh:

Not smart!

Probably thought he was too good a rider to wear gear.

Especially this time of year - no excuses about the gear being too hot to wear. Sheesh, I've been wearing my jacket and layers under that just to keep from freezing my off.
