Trackday food

What kind of food do you all bring to trackdays? Snacks and small meals. I am planning on bringing banana and granola bars.

What do you all feel is the best food during hot trackdays.

Bananas, granola bars, water and gatorade.

No coffe, no red bull and its compadres, no excessively sugary stuff.

Its also a good thing to take potassium caplets a week before the TD if you work in an air conditioned enviroment.

But if you work outside in the heat, take them everyday anyway.

I typically eat every 2 hours, so last time to the track for me I had a number of PB&J sandwiches with me, a bundle of bananas (I ate 2 that day), a container of almonds, and a bag of chips. Along with 2 gallons of water, a gallon of Gatorade, and 2 bottles of Pedialyte. And yes, it was all gone by the end of the track day. Little harder to eat for me when instructing, but I'll eat and walk to class when I need to.

the trackday groups usually provide lunch, so I mostly just bring a little fruit like grapes or oranges... keep them in the cooler ... i bring water, gatorade and pickle juice.

One of my favorite is summer sausage cheese and crackers.

a little hartier and stays with you for more than 10 mins.

some mixed fruit is the bomb also.

Water, gatorade, fruit platters, trail mix with m&ms.

Keep it light all day but snack all day not to get full but just not get hungry and keep hydrated. If you aren't drinking a water bottle or two after every session you will definitely be feeling it in the afternoon.

If you are out on the track and you feel a bit out of it, pit in and end the session early. Most accidents will be from people pushing it when they aren't 100%. Better to take a break and get yourself hydrated/cooled off before going back out the next session. The only trophy you win is going home in one piece both you and your bike.
