what gearing for 450R @ msrh?? 13-40 15-40

all i have is 13t- 40t and 15t- 40t i ordered a 14T front sprocket but it wont get here in time.

13-40 is real fun on the street but it is on the highway. top speed of 103mph

15-40 basically moves all my gear up by one.. so first is like 2nd and so forth.. top speed 119-120 TAKES FOREVER to get to 120.. what should i run.?

Strickly track bike or street bike with occasional track days? I'm not familiar with a 450r but it's just whatever gear that leaves you closest to maxing out a gear without having to shift before a turn. May consider playing around gearing sizes on gearingcommander.com

I have experienced problems with my chain eating my swingarm using a 40 rear. Be careful.

I'd do 15-40. You SHOULD be able to do more than 110 down the back straight.

I run a 15/42 at GSS and get 105 out of a stock 450x, the 450r should be faster.

MSRH is a long track with some faster sections (for a tard) I ran my DRZ out there and would top out before half of the shortest straight....with that said run the tallest gearing u have and modulate the throttle on the top end.
