93 YZ 250 Rear Shock

Buddy picked up a 93 yz 250 with a bad rear shock. He's 270. Ideas (brands, and a good source)?

thanks.

Do some research to see what years were the same and I bet a shock off of a yz125 would work as well. Then look on eBay.

I would try to stick with the shock that was designed/made for that bike. They are still adjustable alot like today's bikes to suit your needs and riding style.

At 270 he will need a new rear spring as well unless the previous owner was the same weight. The bikes come from the factory set up for people about 100 pounds lighter.
