where do you live? I'm a college student at A&M and I have worked weekends at TWS (Texas World Speedway) but never for anything moto related. TWS (Texas World Speedway) has performance driving schools, and there are a ton of events you can work for good money, but a lot of them require experience as you will be asked to work a corner by yourself. Porsche Club, Lemons, TWS (Texas World Speedway) PDS, Driver's Edge, the list is endless for cars, and they almost all pay about $160-180 a weekend

I did some of the older CMRA races at Oakhill, I loved turn 8. I pretty much did it for free, loved every minute of it.

You can get a credit for working and sell it. Usually between $100-$150.

On the bike days not much man.

You gotta be at the track at 6:30-7:30ish and work till 5-5:30.
You get a credit that you can sell for 100-120 (maybe).

11-12 bucks an hour isn't worth it to me, especially when you spend money on gas and food for the day.

For others that don't have anything to do, might be worth it, especially if you live near a track.

CMRA actually pays cash. On a non-Lone Star Track Day weekend, when CMRA runs all 3 days, you get paid for all 3. $180 for the weekend. When LSTD runs the Friday practice, you have 2 days CMRa, and 1 day to get a credit or otherwise settle up with LSTD.

It's a great way to figure out how to get into trackdays or racing and make money too.

http://www.cmraracing.com/mboard.html

Corner working for the CMRA is a great way to spend a weekend. If you enjoy lots of action, great racing, and fun people, we have a spot for YOU!

A typical day starts at 6:30 am at corner worker check-in. This is where we get you signed in, assigned a corner, a radio, t-shirt, and the necessities you will need throughout the day. Around 7:15 am, all of the corner workers will have a short meeting to go over procedures, flags, and equipment operation and answer any questions you might have. By 7:45 am we will truck all corner workers to their corner. On occasion we allow you to drive your vehicle, weather conditions and safety permitting. The race day starts with practice around 8:15 am, and cannot begin until all corner workers are in place, so please come prepared. Throughout the day you will communicate with Race Control about “events” in your corner and assist racers. Depending on the day you work, the schedule will vary, but generally speaking lunch is at 12:00 pm (provided by the club) and the day doesn’t end until sunset.

What We Provide:
• Water
• Lunch
• Canopy
• $60.00 per day
• Free Gate Entry (for each day worked)
• A Great Experience!

What You Need To Bring:
• Chair
• Cooler
• Snacks
• Appropriate weather gear (watch the weather and plan ahead!)

The race schedule is posted on the website. You can Post your request to work as soon as you know what works best for you. Please Post only once and be sure and use your real name! Space is limited at each track so sign up early. If you commit to a particular day, PLEASE show up!

We depend on corner workers to get the racing started on time. We Can’t Race Without YOU!
Thank You,
Barry & Roxana Nichols

Good/bad corner workers are can mean the difference between a life and death situation and also how smooth the track day goes.

If anyone does decide to corner work please do it to the best of your ability.

Please pay close attention.

If you have questions ask.

Best seat in the house though.

I would want all my corner workers to be track riders, but thats just my opinion.

If you like watching scooter racing and don't mind being hot/cold/wet then it is a blast. You'll get paid to watch racing close up and if you have no experiance you'll be paired with someone who does.

Get rich doing it? No....

I was working the corners back 15 years ago. I did it for the fun of it. I liked the up close action, and it definatley was the best seat in the house.

If I had time I would definatley do it some more.

Inside of a tight corner is awesome.

Oakhill was great on turn eight, you see the full view of the straight away, then as they came around turn 6 and 7, they would power through then get hard on the brakes coming through 8.

You wouldn't believe how many times I could tell if some one was going to blow turn 8 and wind up in the steel gate or the tires.
