If you put on a slip on you will make it "louder" to your standers but after a while you might get annoyed by it. Getting a full system only adds maybe 5hp its really mostly looks to my concern if you want hp get a PC3.

The track will help you better your skills im sure your parents want you to be safe but i know clutch crew and how they ride. You hitting the twisties will put your life more at risk than the track. Just FYI

Tell your parents you'll learn to ride a lot better at the track then riding w the clutch crew

My even save your life

And IMO your parents are pretty naive to let their Kid get such a bike at such an age.

Moose and racer y'all are both preaching to the choir lol I'm dying to go to the track but you have to look at it from my parents point of view. A 17 year old on a 600cc sportbike racing on a track. And I know track days have a leader that you can't pass, but no matter how much I try to convince them, they shoot down the idea. And yes I know clutch crew rides a bit fast haha

I don't know if we are even talking about the same group. Every ride I've been on we went as fast as the slowest person, and then later in the ride we would open our bikes up a little and allow the sweeper to stay with the noobs/slower riders.

I will say this again, you're just preaching to the choir. That still does NOT change my parents mind. All my parents are thinking is motorcycle + race track = an injured 17 year old only child lol I will have to move out before I can go to the track, or they would has to change their minds.

I remember seeing a thread about helping new people do their first track day, like they would help pay or something. If I got nominated for that, they may let me do it.

I've asked them to go but they don't even want to, and yeah a midpipe deletes the catalytic converter and connects the header to the slip on

the less expencive mod you can do to your exhaust is a mid pipe that will cost you about 175 bucks.
cut the cat off and install the mid pipe. put a slip on like a GYTR or something like that to make it sound better.

it will sound better and run better.
will loose on the low end so get a sprocket kit to get better drive.

please DO NOT make this bike sound like a GSXR with straigh headers. I will never ride with you ever again!!!

:-)

$60 bucks for your 1st track day is all you need (Ridesmart) got your for the full leathers and boots.

This is better then a speeding ticket!

Everyone that have done a track day will tell you how much fun this is!!
I would rather ride a track day then ride in houston.

I'm sorry to say what I'm about to say (and I mean this with no disrespect)
If your parents were crazy enogh to let you get a motorcycle that does 0-60 in 3 seconds and top speed of 166mph IN HOUSTON then there is no excuse of NOT letting you do a track day which only teaches you how to become a BETTER rider!!

Thats all I have to say.

I have a R1 with a custom exhaust. I went to Autozone and bought a exhaust tip with the baffle in it for about $20, and attached it to my mid pipe. Sounds awesome. Never lost any power, never got stopped by the police and it look awesome.
