Obviously these guys don't all know each other. It's a bad habit for noobs to acquire. It's not allowed on my rides, neither is passing in a turn

I don't know about y'all, but I was always taught to pass on the left. And this is why.

Is that fog/humidity from the lens or the housing of the camera? Looks pretty shitty.

I had this happen on my gopro once. It was in the camera housing, mine wasn't that bad though.

And that's why when I slow down or stop, I never do it in the middle of the road!!
If you're going to slow down then look for the shoulders of the road.

Still the rider that came from behind was his fault, but it would have saved both of them..maybe..

Wow. From reading the thread over there it sounds like there was a lot of confusion between all the riders. Guy that got hit didn't have mirrors so he never had a chance to see it coming/react.

werd.

I only ride with guys that I've known for years. Seems like when I get with a bunch of noobs they've got something to prove. I like my minty body work and rash free skin.

Its always the responsibility of the passer to make a safe and clean pass. All other points are invalid.

Quoted from ZG: "And then the dude that said "ZG is known for this" is the same guy who "at the intersection before the twisties decided it would be a great idea to cut through the intersection and ride down the sidewalk then off the sidewalk to the street to avoid traffic"? I repeat... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! You're part of the problem! Don't sit there and be like "ZG is known for this, but when I do douchey things it's okay"

Is this true? You're posting this as a "lesson of what not to do" but then are riding on the sidewalks instead of the streets during this ride?

I wasn't trying to argue that point, I was trying to point out that if he had mirrors and was lucky enough to take a glance behind him he might have had a opportunity to at least TRY and react instead of being a sitting duck.

Maybe, but then he should also been able to expect those behind him, not to pass him in his lane and be paying attention to what he was doing and respond to it.

After having 3 guys go down in front of me (one of them twice) and breaking my foot and ankle in 7 places on a seperate ride I much prefer to ride solo now. I need to focus on what I'm doing and not have to worry about everyone else.
