I still think $50 is a little high, even with the wheel in thw swingarm. When I've had to buy tires in a pinch, I'll get them at Stubbs and take them to Metric. I think Andy charges less than $30 to mount a rear.

It's also fun to ride across town wearing your new Bridgestone like a belt.

Lame thread. being an irresponsible customer is just as bad as overcharging for a tire change. BTW, $35 a tire is about average price for Houston area shops. Luckily we're all spoiled because Patrick is the man and Motorcycles Unlimited rocks!!

Wow Dude,

I feel your pain. Next time come to North West Cycles & if you buy tires from us, we'll install them for free.

But dude, even if you did'nt buy them from us, we still would'nt charge you $70 for the two tires (YOU HAD ALREADY TAKEN OFF).

That sucks, sad part is i know the people Bob & Bobby @ MGMR. I'm kinda amazed they would do such a thing, are you sure it was'nt just some odd person covering the counter that did that?

But yea, i would be .

What i'm really cracking up at is that it takes me, an idiot with tools 11 minutes to change a tire, and it took those professionals over an hour?

You sure it was MGMR?

PS: I think cycle gear changes tires for like $10 each, if you take the wheels off and bring it to them. Maybe you should try them if Motorcycles Unlimited or NorthWest Cycles is too far. There's a close Cycle Gear almost every where.

First off...if he was complaining about a sponsor...he would have been banned...honestly he should be allowed to complain regardless of being a sponsor or not...its a right given forth in our CONSTITUTION...on that note...Thanks Motorcycles Unlimited for the mounting of my new tires...once again great price and excellent customer service as always...I would not shop anywhere else...THANKC GUYS!

haha i was thinking the same thing.
i dont think there is any shop that gets 100% positive feedback, well unless you're a paying sponsor on MH.

I cant bealive MGMR did that too you its not like them but there mechanic really good thoe the only thang i didnt like about them was that they dont call you back when your bike is done you have to keep calling them

$70 is the going rate on and off the bike at most bike shop last i checked.

yamaha , stubbs, cycle gear, all sw. they all quote $30-$40 a tire. the occasionally promotion or hook up u see a good deal.

i got mine done at Motorcycles Unlimited for $10 before, but it was just too far for me.

avg rate is more like $25-$30 in the houston area.

I took a tire to Patrick this past tuesday. $10 off the bike, he took it back straight away. Got to bullshit with patrick and Clyde who was getting his duc serviced so all was good. Patrick has always done great by me and now that i am abit closer that much better. I try to do most of my work and have all the tire changing and balancing stuff but it was just to cold and nasty out side and mounting a cold hard tire is a beotch so thought i would visit Patrick again.
later

yeah, it was the owner that did this to me. i know he's the owner because i've been in there before and talked to him and his son, and they seemed like good people. so much for that. never again will i even set foot in that place. and i'll make sure everyone i know knows about the horrible experience i had there. next set of tires i'm definitely driving the hour to go get my tires put on by ya'll or patrick!
