EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A motorcyclist was taken into custody after leading the California Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase Tuesday morning.

The chase began in Artesia and ended at Indiana Street in East Los Angeles. The suspect was reportedly wanted for speeding and failing to yield.

The suspect led the chase through the streets before traveling at speeds of up to 95 mph on the 605 North and the 5 North.

The chase ended when a CHP motor officer got ahead of the suspect and jumped off the bike with a weapon drawn. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Saw it on the news this morning. Pretty much pathetic and SAD that Houston news has to report about a motorcycle chase in California, IMO!!!! Anyways, yea didn't look like much of a chase. He looked like he was just lane splitting his way down the highway.

Only CA would call 95mph a "high speed chase"...

...of course this is the area that couldn't manage to pull over a Bronco doing 45mph a few years back...

Don't think so. The moto cop timed it just right and lay the C14 down right in front of the bandito. If the idiot tried to move on the cop, it could be construed as endangering an officer. He could've left the scene in an ambulance instead of the back of the squad car.

You can outrun a police cruiser, but you can't outrun Motorola. That cop-in-the-sky weren't going anywhere. That's how they can direct the moto cop to time it just right.
