F.M. 473 that runs east out of Comfort is freshly paved and completely void of traffic, great road..check it out next time.
Definitely planning on doing the sisters once it cools down a bit...
D'oh! Take the bike next time

We were actually going to end up going through FM 473 but we ended up not meeting up with the group who was going to lead this route....

Thanks for the suggestion, as it will definitely be considered for the next trip....although it's hard to leave any of the 3 sisters out of any part of a route out there...

Sad I missed out this time. I took pics all along my last ride last season, some of the exact same corners lol

Great trip report on the Sisters.. glad to hear they finally fixed 16

When you are ready to venture to Colo let me know, I'll be a tour guide and have a place to sleep after Sept 1.

Arkansas and the Dragon are must sees as well.. I'll be planning another visit to Deals Gap in the spring.

Arkansas is good weekend trip.. drive up Fri, ride Sat/Sun, back to TX on Monday. And don't count out the roads in Southern MO either..

Weekend was badass!!! Everything couldn't have gone any smoother. Weather was warm but bearable as noted. Saturdy morning we actually woke up a little chilly. The blowout on the trailer kinda killed it for nothing going wrong but I will take that over anything else that coulda happened. Fast n Easy fix. Nice write up Gary. Good meeting Adam and Ross.

Stonehenge is actually on 39 (not 27) in Ingram, as soon as you cross the bridge over the Guadalupe river crossing in Ingram. On the left in the field of the hill country arts foundation.

My mom was responsible for having it moved from out on 1340 on the guadalupe north fork. Her hard work in this endeavor should not go unnoticed - it was either that or be torn down forever. I think it's still pretty awesome to see it there.

Ah, yes....my mistake, it is in fact on 39 right after the road forks. It was early morning when we went there, my memory didn't serve me well

Nice. No disrespect meant in my post about it, was just sad to see it move from it's previous location. I'm grateful for it still being up though so I guess I shouldn't complain

No doubt the previous location was immeasurably better, but it's admittedly nice to still have around
