Do We Support Our Stunters?

I was wondering to myself, I've seen a few of our resident stunters post up some parking lot action and even some posting up events .

I don't see a lot of responses to them, I for one really enjoy watching some of the local guys on here killing it out there. I remembered when I first joined there was a lot more talk about it but it slowly fizzled out.

So what's up? Not asking for anything more than wanting to get more people to come out and support our local stunting members. These guys are pretty sick.

Do you like stunting? Have you seen our local stunters? Would you like to?

I miss the original ASI nights too! Made PP1 boring, comparatively speaking, on Wednesday nights. I always enjoyed watching Joe, Jordan, then Grubz when he came along, all those. Even a few times out on Rankin area watching some good action.

The benefit they did a while back with the Dallas crew out on the north side was quite the show.

Ide hate for some that have not seen them, miss out on our local talent..

I need to fish out my video of Joe doing his tailgate trick.

Problem is it gets boring real quick. we need the big wide open lots to really put on a good show but most bike night places give you a tiny lot that is only good for slow boring circles. You seen one you seen em all. Plus there are only a handful of guys that are local that even know how to ride for entertainment.

I hear ya, I been trying for the longest to find a place that could be as good as asi was, that could have us and also something for the stunts. That is also central.

The best we can do now is the slow races at FreeBirds. We did a pretty cool meet at a bowling alley once but that place closed already...

The search continues...

Over time, big spots attract too much "negative" attention.

It was so funny when their sessions were moved to another night and there was only about 15-20 people watching and hanging out at the exact same locations.

Sad too, because once you're close enough to watch the brake/cluctch/throttle control, you gain a whole new respect for a set of skills.

I haven't been to an event - not sure why. I have this image of a bunch of bikes scattering when the popo show up like street drag racing. Not that SMR's aren't as bad. Actually SMR's probably offend more local residents than stunting in a parking lot.

I used to go to ASI a lot. Ride the 50 and whatnot.. hang out.

I vaguely remember a time when the stunters wanted to be left alone, didn't want their spots blown up and wanted to be paid. A few vocal ones at least. They got what they asked for I guess.

Joe, Eric, Javi, even the grub worm or grubz or whatever.... those were some cool cats.

Whatever happen to Javi anyway? Only guy I knew back then that shined your wheels after he mounted your tires for like $10.

Last I heard his mom was not doing good so he sold everything to spend his time and effort on he. Def. The nicest person I've ever met in my life.

It would be nice to have a place to learn. I love to watch, but it would be funner to have a place to learn where you don't fell like you're in the way.

I went out to the leukemia lymphoma benefit and shot shine photos and donated some money. I've been riding wheelies for fun since 2002 and grew up with Garrett, I would come out to any spot to watch and being the fiddy, I think most of the stingers have grown up and grown out of the sport though, and mainly whoolie for their own persOnal release now.
