That's the funny thing about houston....we complain during summer that we wish it was cooler.....but when it gets cold....we want our summers back.

plus the bike friggin' sings when its warmed up and the air is cold!

Same here - same stupid questions. In my case they are just jealous, that they can't ride and 2/3 would like to run me over when I am riding. I did ride yesterday though, did not have much choice walk or ride a bike.

Conversations started Monday (yes, we worked), going something like:

"You won't ride your bike tomorrow, will you?"
Me: "Why not?"
"Well, may be a little slick out there?"
Me: "Figured if I take the curve onto Jones fast enough and I can hold the bike steady, I'll slide all the way down to work..."
"Yeah, I guess that would really save you gas then... "

Another one:
"You don't ride in this weather, do you?"
Me: "I may.."
"I guess if you put spikes on..."
Me: "Actually, I got me one of this fertilizer spreaders for the lawn and will attach it to the front of my bike. I'll hook up a metal device to the frontwheel and whenever I move it will spread some sand in front of me."

Another one:
"You didn't ride today?"
Me: "Nah, not today."
"Definitely not tomorrow, hm. Roads may get ice on them."
Me: "Maybe. They do make spikes now, or I'll just get a motorcycle tire chain."

This weather sure makes for some funny conversations... :laughing6
