I haven't been to Singapore but I have been to Asia. Are you flying non-stop?

Immunizations in order?

I spent 21 hours flying. It sucks!

Take some Asprin with you for the long flight. Asprin thins out the blood and will lessen the chance of you getting blood clots in your legs from sitting so long. Get up and walk around every two hours or so. I took Benydryl with me to help with sleeping. Take some chapstick too. The re-circulated air on the plane will dry you out.

As for Asia - people will stare at you. They stare because they are curious not because they want to fight you (took me a couple of days to get this). Take some immodium in case you get sick. I also got the doctor to write me a prescription for Malarone (for Malaria).

I spent 8 hrs in the airport there and they have tonnes of cool stuff there. Watch the prices though as sometimes they are more expensive than here. I did see a place there though that offered tours of the city and it looked pretty cool. Only advice is watch your wallet, passport and laptop if your taking one. Have fun and play safe!

Singapore is nice.
Very clean.
Very controlled.
So... a little boring.
Enjoy your trip and over 20hr flight.

Oh, yeah.
Changi airport has the best duty free shops!

As far as I know, Thailand is the worse (or the best) place in Asia.

Thailand is very party town type of place. Signapore does have a good duty free shop in the airport and less wildness.
Keep up with your personal belongings while in your hotel as well.
There are some local customs you may need to get familiar with.
Remember , you are a guest in a foriegn country.
