Since you are doing it yourself and it is your first project, keep it in two colors, it will save you a lot of work plus track season is coming and you will not be ready. Weather is not helping much.

I was thinking the same.
Trackdays are coming quick and I'm don't want to ride naked while my plastics are being worked on.

if you don't care much to finish it just try the worst part or the easiest. For example, just do the tail. Do all the repairs and paint it, then go with something else. The work will not be as good as doing it all at once but if you don't care go for it. Actually first thing will be the color scheme.

I support this idea, it should be easier.

Paint the red.

You can paint the number plates at the same time you do the yellow for the wings and use the existing number plates as a template too.

Keep it simple if you aren't going to go all the way with repairs and paint.

Keep it simple if you aren't going to go all the way with repairs and paint.

Painting over the existing paint is as easy as lightly scuffing the existing clearcoat with 400 grit wet/dry, tack cloth, and apply the new paint.

There, fixed it in edit.
AWESOME IDEA...
How do I go about sanding the orange off withougt messing up the Black stickers?
Can I sand the entire bike / do the repairs / and still see use the Black stickers as guides for painting this area black again? Just changing the Orange to another color I.E. Red?
