I would really like a nice clean bike but I don't really want to spend more than $6K on it cause then I'd probably have to finance it and I don't want another debt. I see Motorcycles Unlimited has a couple of clean honda 929RRs for about $6K but I'm thinking that might be too big of a step up, as far as engine is concerned, from a gs500.

Is a gs500 what you ride right now?
929RR is a big step up.

As JRock said that is a big step up You would be much better off with an R6 IMO and not the new one that came out last year either the previous generation(Now called the R6S I think). That model R6 is very user friendly and yet will do more than enough to keep you entertained for miles on end. You can pick one up //4k and 5.5K no problem and still have some cash left over for full coverage. Just a thought

But time is almost over. I have been thinking about staying and quitting the contractor business. I like being home with family..

i think this may be a little out of his posted price range. that is def. a very sweet bike though, would be an excellent purchase.
