Isn't the kawi and zuki 250 an identical bike?

i thought the 110's were the same, did not know about the 250.
my son has a kx250 that i have been thinking about taking off his hands seeing as he never rides it anymore... but it is a little older a 99 or 2000 i think.

NVM. I assume your talking about the 250 four strokes. I believe it started in '04 when the RMZ250 and KX250f basically rolled off of the same assembly line. They just got different plastics. Other than that, they are identical.

I dunno about their 2 strokes, though. When those 2 big names joined forces, I don't THINK they "combined" all of their dirt bikes.

Obed,

I do believe the 110's are identical as well, minus the plastics.

I used to have an 01 CR250, that was probably the most powerfull 2t motor I ever owned, even stronger than my 300xc. I used to drag race my then 16 yr old son up a sandy hill and he would get me every time riding that bike.

That bike was not wery friendly on top ends though, went through them like a 125. Something let loose in the bottom end and made it's way up top and chewed everything up one day, wound up parting it out on Ebay and getting over 2k for it!

Seems like every forum I read was bragging about the 01 CR 250. I have no valid opinion because I haven't had the opportunity to ride one so that's why I put it in quotes. I'm lookin for some more opinions from some motocross riders here.

What's your budget? What is your intended use? (% track vs. % trail)

Our budget is kinda flexible depending what it is, I don't want to spend 5k on a 2001 bike, but if its reasonable then I'm interested. It's really hard to say what it will be used for more, but I see us riding trails more than track. Especially till I get a full ok letter from my nuerologist.

Went to the Yamaha shop to check out the 2011 YZ250 2t, its pretty nice.

If it's a good deal, it up!
