Back to the topic; it is okay to buy or sell over the msrp. This is a common thing in businesses. There are buyer that are willing to pay double or triple what the actual value of the items. To you it would be a junk but to others are rare gems. Who would pay $80K or more for a 68 fully restored camaro? See? It is the same sales technique that Eximport employs: If you are looking for that specific models, there are not many around. Are you willing to pay the same as the new bike for that model you love so much or would you want to buy a new one? You get the idea.

rarity has NOTHING to do with why they price their bikes so high. you can't walk into any used car dealership and pick up a full 100 point 68 camaro. but you CAN walk into any used bike dealership and pick up any one of the bikes eximport sells. they're not rare, they're fkn 3-4 year old sportbikes that they made fkn hundreds of thousands of.

they charge the prices they do because they know they can. they jack up prices and people pay them because they're the only dealership that will finance them.

Rarity is not my point. My point is there is someone who is willing to pay what they are asking for. It might be high or not worth the price for you but there are someone out there that are willing to pay. I am sure, that is not the first place the buyer went to. I can guaranteed that the buyer has look into cycle trader and many classifieds and dealers before making a purchase.

Threads like this only make the dumb feel dumber, and the smart smarter. It's business. We have a BBB. 6 complaints resolved. Ex-import is a member of the BBB. Prices are high, but they must keep customers somewhat happy. However, 6 complaints in 3 years is high in my book. Do you know what it takes to file and follow thru? The customer must be really really off.

That said, Carlos entertains and caters to customers. Puts on a nice trackday for his Ducati fans. Makes money and spends money. Screws those ripe for . He has a keen sense of how to get to the personality of the buyer. Fear, ego, status, income....all the vices he can make money on. His business model makes me laugh....at stupid America.
