Now that CycleGear only carries....

.... gear, er i mean, "budget priced gear" and Dianese, does anyone know of a place other than 2 Wheel Toyz or Motorcycles Unlimited where one can actually just browse the gear and shop?

I don't know about everyone else, but I really need to try it on before I even decide if i want to consider buying it. My hands fit in a small subset of gloves (wide palms, short fingers), feet just wont fit in most boots, etc...

With CG only carrying garbage or Dianese (another brand I can't typically actually wear), its tough to just go shopping....

2 Wheel Toyz has a huge selection but you are probaly looking for a leather vest, fingerless gloves, and chaps. lol

What are you wanting to try on?

Gloves mainly. I have wide hands and short fingers. Most gloves, if they make it past my palm, the fingers are WAY too long. The ones that fit my fingers nearly crush my hand. Most places only carry one or two brands of gloves in like 3 sizes.

CG used to have a great selection and then apparently their corporate office decided they no longer wanted to serve the real riders so they only have BiLT and Sedici in stock now - well those and like 4 pairs of Dianese full gauntlet gloves in XXXXXS and XXXXXL and 3 pairs of A* in pink and neon green.

This is news to me...I bought all my Astar stuff at cycle, but this was when I would frequent them for everything...Now, well not anymore, don't I even use them to mount tires. They scratched the out of my front wheel and said 'That was already there'

I've got 8-10 different models of gloves at the shop, and if we don't have something there that fits you we can evaluate your hand size/shape and make some recommendations.
Remember, if we size you, we guarantee fit.

I guess it depends on what you're shopping for. Was just at Cycle Gear last night browsing dirt bike gear and they have a very good selection, complete range from their budget Bilt to high dollar Alpinestars with Answer, O'Neal and others in between.

I'll agree with you on dirt bike gear, but I don't ride a dirt bike so selection is extrememly limited.

I'm extremely disappointed in the direction CG seems to have taken. Its one thing to have a house brand. Its another to carry nothing but the house brand. Saying you can order anything is pretty silly from the consumer too since if I've gotta wait for you to order it, I'll order it myself, spend less and have it delivered to the house.
