Dumbass. Just because you can buy a Lambo doesn't automatically give you the skills to drive one.
Luckily there wasn't anyone standing by the bikes checking them out.

That seems to be the case with most exotic car owners. They've got the money, but no skills.

I used to see it all the time with Vipers. CONSTANTLY being run through ditches and banged off of curbs, poles, cars, houses and anything else nearby. Most of those that could afford them should have had a wood block installed under the accelerator pedal to limit throttle movement.

I had a decent amount of track time in them, and still managed to spin one on occasion (never rolled, never hit anything). Kelsey Grammer somehow managed to slide, smack and flip his GTS over in his driveway while doing drunken donuts. Emilio Estevez put his in a water filed ravine when he lost control of it and tried to get the hydrolocked engine covered under warranty, and the list goes on.

I remember when I transferred down to the Atlanta Zone office in 1996 or so, one of the first Lemon Law cases that I saw was for a 17 year old girl at Marietta High School with a Viper roadster that had a slight leak when she took it through the car wash. Daddy bought it to replace the ZR1 that she totalled out.

Saw more than one totalled and/or wrecked by technicians too. One of the techs at Palmer Dodge got a little frisky with a customer's GTS after a tune up and slid it onto the sidewalk, hit and nearly killed a guy. That guy sued, David lost his job, house and wife and eventually put a bullet in his head. Sad deal.

I used to assist Skip Barber Race School with the SRT track days. That was always fun. At least it gave some of the owners a chance to get a tiny bit of how not to kill yourself in this car type of instruction in a closed controlled environment. We never had anyone kill themselves, but I do have a viper wheel and brake assembly in my garage that was from one that a lady totalled out in Georgia when whe lost control at one of the track days.

People don't realize that simply HAVING a fast car, bike whatever doesn't equate to actually being able to use it
