Gotcha, well it's still do-able for you then. You just may not ride the second day (Sunday) in order to make it back home at a decent time so you can be rested and ready for work by midnight.... We could figure something out for ya.

I never sleep Sunday(like right now, watching the Tour de France). As long as I'm home by 10pm I'm good.

Oh no. If I make this trip I would be riding the Ninja!

August 23 or so I am off to "The Dragon" in North Carolina (and surrounding areas).

Some of the roads/turns on this ride are the real deal. Not for the faint of heart.
Blind turns, and some that could send you over a cliff in a highside....
Maybe not the best idea for a noob to join but I dunno

That is a trip I've been wanting to do as well. A cousin of mine lives near there and I wanted to stay there and ride a few days

If you can get at least one person to go with you, make the trip. You'll have a blast.

Well, how long has she been riding? Does she do good on group rides? Has she ever had any mishaps or close calls? Does she understand how to properly lean into curves? Is she comfortable braking in turns?

Things like that would be a deciding factor. If a rider has never been on a SMR or not experienced taking turns, the 3 sisters may not be the best place to learn. I could be wrong though.

I love the sisters...been going at least twice a year for the past 4 years. Ive yet to hit it this year though. One thing to note is 2 up would absolutely suck on a SS bike. Also could be newb freindly if that newb didnt have an ego trip and try to keep up. Also keep the group small, 8 riders max which is really pushing it. To many ppl/logistics to keep up with.....oh and have fun!!

Yep. Not really wanting a big group. , I would be happy if just one other person joined me . Obviously, it would be more fun if more folks came though.

+1 on the ego trip, these are not the roads to try to keep up on. I mean, last trip I lead a group with some guys that ride faster than me. Because they werent familiar with the roads, I led the way.

Oh, and where was my invite the past 4 years mang???

Did this last summer and saw 107 degrees. It would be much more enjoyable if it were at least in the 90s. Leah did this trip with only 6 months of riding experience and had a blast - so if the noob rider has talent and can ride their own ride, I'd say come along. If they are easily intimidated on fairly straight and level roads, probably not a good idea. If you can handle the track, you can handle the sisters and vice-versa. Just can't get lazy on some of these. Depending on the date chosen - Leah and I would be down for this.
