I agree with everyone else, and have something new to add.

Why in the did you pull in the clutch and leave it pulled in? That's a sure fire way to get yourself into trouble. If you want to slow down, brake or downshift. Pulling in the clutch and leaving it pulled in means you are "free wheeling" down the highway and are not in complete control of your bike. I know it's only a hand release away, but that's a really bad habit to get into.

I did see that the pucker was in effect... He didn't jump back to 100+. Just cruising at 65 in the last part of the video.

Im just glad your front tire was inflated properly. If not im not sure if you would of been able to maintain those speeds. Good job keep the videos coming.

I've had bikers go past me around that speed while I was doing 65 in my cage. Even as a biker, you'd think I'd be able to judge the speed of the incoming missile, but I couldn't. I saw them in the mirror, it looked like I had plenty of room to change lanes, and if I hadn't double-checked I wouldn't have seen them RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAR.

Totally freaked me out. I mean, if _I_ couldn't tell (and I ride these things), how could your typical Honda Civic driver be able to judge your closing speed? He may have actually been looking out for you and just misjudged your speed.

In other words: not the cager - it's your problem. Slow it down. Don't pass on the right, etc...

Don't pass on the right bro.
Also don't hold your clutch in because it will take you longer to slow down.
Everyone makes mistakes, but at that speed you cant afford to make one. So slow down and good luck.

Guys guys guys. I did say I won't complain because this kind of thing is expected blah blah blah.
Maybe the title of the post should have been "close call" instead of "stupid cager".

That said, who here buys a machine that breaks any speed limit in first gear, and never accelerates past 70 outside of a track?

Oh and speed doesn't kill, it's the sudden stop that poses the problem

its not the title....or the fact that others or even myself has ever hit 100+ on a public road. Its that you posted it on the net for others to trash you for it.
but the comments are good. 1st dont pass that close to someone. 2nd. Dont pass on right. 3rd dont freak out and pull in the clutch. 4th if you live that long ket a key chain.
OHHHHHH yea thanks for posting this. most fun ive had all day.

Yea, we all speed, but hopefully most of us are big enough to accept the consequences of it and not blame someone else when things go wrong
