I've answered to my screenname for years. I'd prefer people call me that actually.

See it's like we're in a club.
Yeah, a motorcycle club.
Full of badasses...

Yeah and so we all have badass nicknames like, Snake or Spike or...

New Rider

And that's what we call each other so we don't use our real names. You know, in case the cops are around.

That's why I leave my first name in my sig, just in case.

Same reason I used to have my avatar as a real pic of me. On many occasions I had people recognize me just from that.

huh... that's your name?

Yeah... I'm horrible with names. After I meet you 3 or 4 times, you've been around enough that I know your name,
....or I feel like it's too late to ask you

Screen names are nice, cause the forum only lets there be one of you. Which is sometimes easier than "Nick, from MH" or "Chris, from MH"... ummm... there's probably tons of ya'll. , there's times I wish I'd chosen a screen name that was closer to a "name"... but this one is used so many places I just stick with it.

And yeah

My name is not Hank, but more often than not I use this handle on most forums of which I am a member, and the few times I actually get to talk to people in meatspace that's what they call me, and that's what I respond to.

The ones that are are the ones with screen names like bc97gsxr06.
What do you call him?

I don't mind Helios, I've gotten used to it and I'd rather be called that if I meet someone.
Makes it easier. I've hung out and chatted with riders the whole day riding, then someone tells me, ”Alright Helios, catch you later” and it never failed, someone I've been hanging out with all day will say, ”Oh that's who you are on the board?” Lol... Better with s/n for me.

My family nickname is Tojo (hence the user name with A&M grad year), but certain ne'er-do-wells call me Mongo.

, I'm confused quite a bit myself.

I call almost everyone I've met through mh by their usernames. Even if I have known them for a while, some is because I don't know their real names, others I do but prefer usernames. I call people by usernames even if the real name is shorter for example

BYRDMAN-Adam
Joeybaila-joey
Tiatool- Joe
Chris_5.0- Chris
Baditalian- Bryan

And so on.

I like being called by my screen name, but now people are catching on to my real one and I don't wanna be called by my slave name.

Still working on getting the ladies to call me NewRider in bed...
