warranty and repair

Hey Guys, one question for yall!I have my scooter in a repair shop cos it has some computer problems.
I just bought it 2 weeks ago and now it is in a repair shop...-italian bike-...
anyway i asked about the warranty and they told me the computer parts and shipping will be covered by the shop but i have to pay for the working hours 2 hours...
Is it right?does the warranty cover the working hours too?

hmm....what yr is the bike?

mine came w/ a 2 yr warranty, but i bought i new

though i still think the warranty should cover everything

Warranty should cover everything, including labor.

In the case of extended warranties, most of the time you only pay a small deductible.

And of course some items are not covered by any warranty, like tires, brakes and the like.

when you are buying a used bike, you need to get what if any warranty you are getting straight before the purchase....it sounds like the mfg is warranting the part but not the labor and the shop you bought it from gave no labor warranty on the used bike. i have bought several used bikes over the years that came with no warranty from the shop i bought if from, but i have never bought one with only 500 miles on it. i always ask about any warranty before i buy anything.

You may have a warranty booklet as well. I don't know about Aprilia, but Honda's warranty is for 1 year, parts and labor

I dont know much about Bikes warranty, but... I've heard of the 1yr warranty for most new bikes. Not sure what's the used bike warranty.

Now I work at a car dealership and weather the car is new or used.. Or 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th owner, the warranty is with the car 3yrs or 36,000 miles or witch ever comes 1st.
If it's warranty, then parts and labor are covered. Unless is a Goodwill parts only and no labor will be covered but the advisor should have explained you why they are only going to cover the parts and not the labor. Is it customer's assistance? Or what's with part been Covered?.

If the bike is less than one year old (from date of original purchase), it still should be covered under the manufacturers warranty even if "used". The new warranty can be transferred

most recent incident

I want a remus exhaust, they have a remus brochure on their counter, I ask them too get me a time frame, I'm told 8mos

I call remus, 6wks



There are a few more times on other stuff

Apr warranty is 2 yrs, pretty sure it's time frame not owner

I've only used them twice, great service, and pulled my Ducati right in.. other shops don't have the time or wont try to fit your bike in.
And they're pricing was rather fair with the parts I needed in stock
