The previous owner of mine went to a kawi dealer and obtained a title through them, because it was untitled. Not exactly sure of the process but yes it is possible. You can run the vin on the DMV website and it will tell you if the bike has ever been titled and when it was issued, if it has been titled I believe you would have to apply for a lost title through the DMV.

If the bike was previously titled you can't "just apply for a lost title." They'll send the title to the last registered owner in their name, not you. You have to do a bonded title. Which really isn't a big deal.

If the bike has never been titled, I'm not sure what the process is.
