That car didn't even make it another 300 yards after it passed him.

I almost got hit by a cager today. I was like 50 ft, behind a cop too. Following him down the feeder of I-10.

Family member of mine almost got taken out like that. Douchebag in a truck crossed the double yellow in the oncoming lane to try to pass his friend, also in a truck. Apparently, racing his friend took higher priority than avoiding a head-on collision, so he continued to gun it, even though it was clear he wasn't going to pass and get back in lane.

We got forced off the side of the road, and the guy in the truck threw out a thumbs up for letting him continue his race.

What I find interesting about this vid is the rider's failure to react. It doesnt even sound like he comes off the throttle until he is at the car. In this case, even though the driver is completely responsible and a complete idiot for attempting to pass, it was his reaction alone that saved everyone's life here. The rider actually ends up creeping further to the right as the car draws near. Looks like target fixation to me.

Looks like the civic was going for a pass and didn't see the bikes on the other side of a hill, then lost it in the sand.

It seemed like the rider was going to swerve until he saw that the car heading towards the shoulder. And if he didn't react, well, apparently sometimes not reacting is the best solution.
