Exclamation Jay Newton @ NOLA

Jay spent the whole week at NOLA hanging with the AMA crowd that was testing there earlier in the week. He got some great pointers from Dane Westby and even got to participate in the AMA promotional go-kart relay race on a team with Danny Eslick and Jake Gagne that took the 3rd place trophy. He had a blast and learned alot that helped him in his WERA races.

Jay Newton finished with a 1st in E Superstock Novice with a fast lap of 2:08, but only two bikes in that class. He and Brandon Altmeyer walked away from the other bike, with Brandon taking 1st in E Superstock Expert.

Jay also raced his R6 and pulled two top ten finishes. 10th on Saturday in the C Superstock Novice in the WERA Sportsman Series coming from the second row of the second wave in a 24 bike field. Then Sunday, he pulled a 7th in 600cc Superstock Novice in the WERA National Series from the tenth spot of the 18 bike grid. That race was red flagged at the half way point, but he produced a 1:55 lap time both days.

Good times in New Orleans!!!

Looking good, but sounds like jay needs to work a little bit more on his shifting. He can really fly on that R6 being so light!
