Hydropacks??

okay enough is enough...this heat in combination with a horrible flow helmet and heavy texile jacket is brutal and you can toss if traffic to and from work as well. what is the best hydropack thing i can buy money is an issue but im willing to overdraft for one...doesnt make sense even my bike is throwing a fit in the heat...

www.hydrapak.com Because they're easy to clean. The bladder turns inside out and stands on its own to dry. Check out the video. It's what I use

if you are willing to spend money also go ahead and get a mesh jacket. I can personally say they hold up to at least one get off and they flow a lot more air than any textile or leather jacket.

Hydrapak
^^^ That's nice right there. I'll have to look into one if I ever replace my Camelbak. I'm not sure if Camelbak came up with a new design for their bladder/hose thing but the detachable hose from the bladder is a feature I like on the hydrapak. My valve on the Camelbak is worn so it leaks when after it's shut off so it's due for replacing from ~ 4 years of hard use.

You can fill up with ice and water and load up or just leave the filled bladder in the fridge overnight.

I would go to Top Brass Surplus, they got a ton of Camelbaks and they are less than the Wal-Mart ones, but less expensive than the REI ones.

I rock a camelbak, just cause it's what I've used in the past--I'll have to look at the hydrapak

Mesh will melt to your skin in a 60mph crash. Just something to think about.

Why do they call it bladder? What's the tube you drink from called? Urethra? That's just nasty.

I use a camelbak, and it works pretty well. I'd say if you really want to stay cool go with vented textile. Once you get a little sweat on you the vents preserve it and contribute to a good wicking effect. Sometimes it can be hard to get that going with a mesh jacket.

I use a camelbak full of ice. Rode today. Hot as . Just have to adapt to the heat. Best of luck finding what works for you.

I have used a Walmart cheapy for 6 years now. Only replaced the bladder one time. If cheap is your budget check out academy. I just bought a game winner brand hydration pack on sale for $9. Works well and has extra storage.

Just curious but how does mesh melt to your shin? My icon mesh jacket and I went down before and it held up great. It wasn't a 60mph slide but still.

The friction will melt the mesh, and fuse to your skin. Happened to a friend of a friend. It melted into his back. They had to skin graph. Leather is the best way to go in my opinion. Mesh is alot cooler, but is it worth the risk..

So the mesh melted right through the back insert?
