Thumbs up Ezpeleta ( read DORNA): Rossi will be fighting for victory in 2013

Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta is confident that MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi will be fighting for victory in 2013.

Rossi, a seven time MotoGP champion and winner of 79 races for Honda and Yamaha, has taken just two podiums since joining Ducati at the starting of 2011.

But in an interview with Omnicorse.it, Ezpeleta is quoted as saying:

"I am calm. Valentino next year will be riding a competitive bike, but I [can't] tell you what it is. It is still too early to talk about: in 2013 we will see Rossi fight for the win... again.

Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha), Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) and Bradley Smith (Tech 3) are the only riders with a 2013 MotoGP contract already in place.

Ha, desperate act to save MotoGP. I can see Rossi doing what Simoncelli did with the "factory satellite" bike.

Dorna's. I feel like MotoGP is already boring as it is and it's going to get worse with Stoner leaving. It's factory or nothing. They need to do something to spice up the show. Why do you think they're set to drop the rookie rule and now pushing for Rossi to get on a competitive bike?

Boring may be too strong for us purists

I admit its not the show it used to be but I dont buy into the rookie rule being about or effecting rossi in any way.

The paddock knows his genius, who wouldn't try to sign him and the $$$$$ he brings to the table in sponsorship at the end of his Ducati contract, I dont think it needs any of Dorna's persuasive powers although they'll lubricate the wheels anyway they can as Rossi afterall is still the star attraction

Yea, i really do hope MotoGP's show will improve soon. I still don't know how i feel about CRT, but hopefully it will be better for the series in the long run. I still love the series and will continue to watch it...even without Stoner and ROSSI!

I'm really not a fan of a race within a race.

maybe he means everyone will be on CRT bikes and Rossi gets to keep his ducati. Ironic how Rossi used to be the typcial example of how the rider makes more of a differnce in than the bike...so why should it matter what bike he's on anyway.
