I've got a high-viz (retina burn) yellow jacket from Olympia Motorsports - the air glide, I think. LOVE it. Very versatile with the removable liner - year round solution here. I have had exactly ONE incident of a caver looking right at me & pulling out in front of me in five years w the high viz. Before, when I wore black, that sort of thing happened frequently. I'm a big believer in high viz.

Oh, and the BMW dealer in South Houston has some AirGlide 3 jackets in stock.

If you have a jacket that's already comfy and broken in, you might be just as good picking up a hi vis vest to go over the jacket.

I hate the "new jacket/helmet" feel before it's broken in

The best fitting jacket I can find right now is black... but I'm constantly looking for something white/red... for visibility and hopefully a little cooler in the sun.
Just can't get my self to wear the yellow/green.

Though, when I bought a drawstring backpack to leave in the tail, I did buy neon green for visibility. And, well, I ride a kawi... so it's ok.

I wear this in the cooler months and got a lot of positive comments at bike stores:
ICON daytona lthr jkt FByellow 400

If I come across Hi-Vis warm weather gear going for cheap, I'll bite.

I commute on my hi viz agv sport solare jacket. Nobody has ever pulled out in front of me for the year that I've had it (knock on wood). Many people do double takes when they see me coming. The chance of getting rear ended at a light greatly decreases. And for some reason, I just feel like a more attentive, safer/better street rider when I wear it. Only draw back...its kind of hard to look cool wearing an all hi viz jacket. But in the words of a vw commericial, you can only look uncool if you're okay.

I've got my self a white mesh jacket from speed and strength and it works wonderful. Has reflective paneling and you can can't miss how much the white stands out. They also offer some in a red but i'd imagine it's hotter to wear than the white.

If I commute into the office (Galleria area) I wear an Olympia Nova Vest over my Airglide jacket. I figure you can't be too conspicuous around town.

I like that jacket but I think you need yellow on the back moreso than the arms. But hey, any is better than none

I do. I wear this hot pink construction worker vest and I must admit, I feel more visible and cars actually back up off me. I sometimes feel a bit silly but at least Im taking more precautions for my safety.

Ive also put reflective stickers on my helmet (blends in w/ my helmet design). You can REALLy see it w/ your car headlights.
Buy boots w/ reflective on the heels or put stickers on it; friends in vehicles have commented on that too.

Im all for high vision gear. MAKE cars see you..dont become an amputee.

I wear white mesh and a white helmet with my yellow Kawa. I have an almost new bright green-yellow Tourmaster sitting in the closet. My wife and girls could not stand the color clash...so I wear the white. They are so vain. For Christmas maybe they will get me an Armani riding jacket?

my yellow stuff is filthy. Even a few trips through the washing machine, looks like I used it as a shop rag.
