I'm not looking to make a track bike just a better road bike and be able to run with anything in the road

If your R1 is boring you maybee you should rethink where u ride. Try a track day or maybee some twistys? Trust me when u get leaned over at 100 mph then it wont seem boring and you will be trying to keep those rpms up there. If u wanna ride hit me up ill be riding the forest and 3090 out to yankees this sun. About 830am. Unless u think my 636 wont be able to keep up with u(speed guy) lol.

Its never gonna run with "anything" on the road. It should already run with most cars and bikes on the road though. Gear selection is a large part of roll on racing. At this point I'm gonna agree with others and say that skills are what you need most.

Dude, the resident stock wheel based R6's around here with 100-110hp are running in the high 10's in the 1320.

Looking to make an 8 sec R1 then?

Like Bluewave said, you should be blowing off the doors of 98% of cars on the road, stock.

if top end is your concern, you bought the wrong bike...although, when riding with my less capable street rider friends i have no problems...get on the track and almost any 1000 from that year will beat the R1 stock for stock, rider for rider on the straights.

i love my 2010 R1...flashed ECU, slip on exhaust, ohlins carts, penske shock.
my stock 2011 zx-10r will eat its lunch all day up top though.

biggest bang for buck...ecUnleashed or flashtune...the stock R1 is robbed of 10-12hp electronically.

If you want brute power, you should have bought a busa or a zx14. Making an R1 produce power like those monsters is neither cost effective or good for reliability. Sure, Graves get 200+ hp out of their R1 but it also get torn down and rebuilt after every race.

Please post a picture of your rear tire. If they have larger than 1/2 inch chicken strip, then save your money, go out on a few RR rides with people on here, and really learn how to use your bike.

Or just go to the track
