Hush, you! Nothing wrong with any KTM if you build them right. Ask me how I know.

what, you found somebody who can build them so that Tojo or PoPo can ride them with out them blowing up? Nah, that builder has not been born yet, or at least has not come back yet.

Surely sir there is no hate in your game... Haven't had any issues with my LC4 or LC8 motors, I don't believe Grindio has had any either.

The RC8RS is a straight up beast, but if your looking for top speed, honestly I think I'd look elsewhere. The thing is rock solid. The engines are actually very strong and durable. Like most KTM's there are certainly tricks to building them right, and I can say with confidence there is NOBODY around here that can work on them to the level that we do. Engine, custom suspension, you name it. The Full Ti Akrapovic exhaust is a little pricey at $3600, but the FMF system we have on the Ride Smart Endurance bike is WAY more reasonable price wise and a very nicely made piece. If I were going to ride one on the street, I'd get a a fender eliminator, FMF exhaust and a dynojet V, and call it good.

On the track, these thinks really shine. Smooth power, forgiving chassis and comfortable ergos make the RC8 a great race/trackday bike. If I was making this a racebike or trackday bike, I'd get the RC8RS as it comes pretty much ready to roll. Drill and safety wire it and slap your number on it. The suspension should be addressed as well as the steering dampner. I like the Ohlins gas charged linear dampner. Of course we have developed a front cartridge setup that works very well and the TTX rear shock.

Maintenance really isn't that much more intensive. I think they are pretty simple to maintain. Nothing really outside what a normal Japanese inline would be.

I knew Tojo would show in some form or fashion in any respectable KTM thread.

Ahem.

Rookie mistake Colin. Maybe the gear cluster is confusing me.
