Yeah, you certainly don't step up your pace through there by any means. Aside from the bicyclists, joggers, etc., it's a narrow two lane road with pine trees hugging the sides and lots of blind corners. But its a nice scenic change of pace from the surrounding area routes.

And going down that switchback road in La Grange (Monument Hill?) is good for a grin too. If you don't get caught behind slow moving traffic, it only takes less than a minute. Hey, you get your kicks where you can...

I usually bypass LaGrange by taking Post Oak Rd - an unpaved section that cuts through. I meet the street riders on the other end.
