Yeah, that was the ride when you learned what NOT to use to clean a mirrored visor and Jack slid out in a puddle on 149 with only grass stains to show for it!

Frank, you were there too? I can't remember... It was so long ago (I was still on my SV!)

Ok, well then I am clueless. There have been so many rides and so many groups that I can't keep them all straight! :eh:

Anyhow - glad you're still alive and kicking. Still have the same bike? How many times has it been down now? Your wife disown you yet? :laughing6

Come on out for a ride sometime! I post stuff here & on TWT all the time.

Possibly Park 1 Road inside Bastrop State Park, between La Grange and Austin. It's a small rest area right off the road which dips and rises throughout the park. Fun tight road, like riding a roller coaster on your bike. I've got a picture of the same area, but on another ride.

Spot on!
I love riding through there. Worth $2 every time.

I actually go between Bastrop and Beuscher on my way to Austin & points west.

It is NOT a place to ride over the speed limit. It's scenic and twisty, but there are bicycles, joggers, and families in the park. Pine needles reduce traction, animals run out all the time...

I was thinking a picnic lunch out there would be fun - I can tote a cooler on my bike for drinks & cold sammiches.
