When was the last time you were unemployed? Jobs are hard to find these days, so excuse me for keeping the ones I have that pay for a roof and food. Not looking pity just saying donate or not could care less.

I must be bored to do the math but here goes.

Let's say gas is $3.50 a gallon. You said you drive a truck but didn't specify what kind. My big V8 crew cab truck gets 14 MPG and 1/2 ton trucks have 25-50 gallon tanks so I'm going to assume you drive a smaller truck with an 18 gallon tank that yeilds 16 mpg, which means you get about 288 miles per fill up.

With the above assumptions, and knowing you spend $480 a month on gas, you're filling up 7.6 times a month, driving over 2100 miles a month.

The Ninja 250 gets about 55 mpg with a 4.8 gallon tank, meaning it'll go about 264 mile a tank (wow), costing you $132 a month in a gas prices assuming you're going to ride 2100 miles a month.

First off I have a hard time believing somebody drives 2100 miles a month. I practically drive for a living and don't believe I put that many miles on my patrol car in one month but I digress.

So you're saving a whopping ~$350 a month. This is assuming:
a) you actually drive 2100 miles a month
b) you're going to strictly ride a motorcycle

If your truck gets better than 16 MPG and/or if you drive less than 2100 miles a month, the gas savings shrinks.

If you're going to make your bike your only means of transportation, you better have some rain gear, hot weather gear and cold weather gear. Riding 2100 miles a month also means you better budget tires.

If I were worried about feeding myself and keeping a roof over my head a luxury item would be the last thing on my mind.

Trade that gas guzzler in for a minitruck. I had a 4cyl Tacoma that got close to 30mpg.

Son, you don't need a motorcycle. You need a lesson in priorities in life.

I quit riding for 15yrs to focus on my career and to raise a family. Just got back on 2wheels last year and am loving it, but I would dump all my bikes and quit again in a hearbeat if my life situation calls for it.

You have got to be joking, you really expect people to donate money so you can get a free motorcycle. Why not write Bill Gates, or Worren Buffet A letter I'm sure they would want to help. try the Kennedys!

Take the bus for about 6 months then you would have plenty saved for a really nice used bike.

From the site
If you've ever ridden a motorcycle you know the feeling, and thats what the money goes to is that feeling of overwhelming joy when you purchase your first bike.

Cost for posting on the Indiegogo site - $0
Cajones to post this on the MH site - $20
Amount you are asking people to donate - $5000
Overwhelming joy when you purchase your first bike with your own hard earned cash - Priceless.

So as so many have said work another job, cut out an habits that cost money set you site on a good used bike.

Buy a $400 50cc scooter, put racing slicks on it. That's how I started back in 1989. You can learn alot about riding in traffic on a scooter.
