Must be nice. I've never owned a brand new vehicle despite my degree.

Tell you what, do you have a budget set up for yourself? Like Honors was saying I bet I could determine where your extra cash is going to. If you truly don't have anything to spare, motorcycles are like any vehicle, you have to consider maintenance, gas, insurance, gear, tires, etc into your costs...

(I'm a financial analyst)
That's the best case, worse case is enough for a used bike. It what I wrote on the funding page. Besides, I have a beat up truck, i know where my extra cash is going...gas and an hour drive to work

Fair enough, but you missed my point.

You HAVE to have some kind of disposable income. Where is it going?
What financial habits can you change?
If you truly have NO disposable income, as much as I like to see people get into the sport, I don't think it would be wise, until life takes a different turn.

Good luck on your quest, and I'll be glad to help with any financial advice.

This guy should be banned from the forum! This is the most un-American thing I have ever heard of. You should move to a socialist country. I cant believe that you are asking for a hand out. You are truly a POS.

This is ridiculous...what about insurance on it..gonna ask for donations then? Stop asking for handouts and get it on your own. This is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen. Dude if you want your bro to get a bike why don't you help him out and teach him how to be a man and save up for and do it on his own instead of asking for hand outs.

If you can't afford it now you don't need it.

These kinds of things work sometimes. I saw a video of a guy that needed 5k for a mac computer for editing some videos. His presentation was pretty badass and he actually got 20,000 people to donate 25 cents. Everybody likes free stuff, so don't hate on the guy for asking. I'm personally not going to donate, but im not gonna bust his about it. Good luck.

There's a slight difference in asking for something that gives back to society (MacBook gets the guy a job so he contributes, girl gets job and everybody digs ) versus asking for a selfish luxury that only benefits himself.

And like an above person mentioned, so now even if he got a bike, he can't afford insurance and upkeep.

I'm pretty sure my savings in gas alone would pay for insurance and gas in a 4.8 gallon tank vs my 18 gallon tank and $480 a month in gas
